An affiliate of Fredericksburg-based Jarrell Properties Inc. last month bought 15 acres adjacent to its Liberty Knolls subdivision off Courthouse Road in Stafford County.
The Jarrell affiliate bought the land for $600,000 from Gemini Trustees LLC, according to Stafford property records. The land is across from Colonial Forge High School.
Site work is under way on the 99-lot Liberty Knolls subdivision, the first part of which is 69 acres. Ryan Homes is under contract to purchase the 99 lots.
The 15 acres are directly to the east of the first section of Liberty Knolls. Jarrell Properties President Jay Jarrell anticipates that another 16 homes will be built on the new section.
Liberty Knolls is one of several new residential developments under way along Courthouse Road, and more are planned. It’s near two other larger projects: Augustine Homes’ Colonial Forge and Newland Communities’ Embrey Mill.
